How do you apply eyeliner at ur upper eye using eyeliner pencil?

my mom wouldn't let me use liquid eyeliner


and i tried watching those video that shows u but i still can't get it.

I am a make up artist and here are some tips.





what you need:





eye liner brush


eyeliner


mascara





It takes alot of practice to get that perfect line or just to use the eyeliner itself. I like to put liquid eye liner on with a brush its easier. Then after you apply the eye liner(should only be at the top to get the good look) make sure its completely dry. The apply mascara.





If you doing the whole look start with eyeshadow





Shape and define your eyes with eyeliner after you've applied eye shadow and before applying mascara. Whether you choose a soft line or a dramatic stroke, eyeliner draws attention.





First, close one eye and gently tug and hold the outer edge of the eye taut with your left hand. With your right hand (lefties, vice-versa), using short strokes, line from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner, using a slight upward sweep at the outer corner. The upward point gives the illusion of gradually longer lashes (after curling and mascara, of course).





To steady a shaky hand when you want to apply a liquid liner, standing close to a mirror helps. Stand close to the mirror and allow the back of your hand to gently touch the mirror. This steadies the hand while you are applying the liner!

PENCIL EYELINER





As a makeup artist I only like appying eyeliner at the top. But it depends on how you like it. But with liquid I only apply at the top, if its pencil I will apply at the top and bottom, when I apply it at the bottom i start in the middle to the corner. So here are some tips to follow.





Shape and define your eyes with eyeliner after you've applied eye shadow and before applying mascara. Whether you choose a soft line or a dramatic stroke, eyeliner draws attention.





Tips:





Choose an eyeliner appropriate for your eye color. Brown, navy and charcoal accent light eyes well, while brown and plum shades flatter brown eyes. Make sure your liner complements the color of your shadow.





Consider the type of look you're after. Pencil eyeliner gives your eyes soft definition, while liquid versions offer precision and drama. You can also moisten dark eye shadow and apply it with a small, flat brush.





Prepare a cake liner or a dark eye shadow by applying a small amount of water to your brush. Or, if you're using a pencil eyeliner, ensure that you've sharpened the pencil adequately.





Move the wet brush gently through your cake liner or dark shadow. Hold the brush or pencil as you would hold a pen.





Tilt your head back slightly and bring your eyes to a half-open state. This creates a good angle for application, while allowing you to see what you're doing.





Draw a line across the upper lid just above the lashes, from the inside corner to the outside corner of the eye. If you're using liquid liner, allow it to dry before opening your eyes all the way, or the color may transfer into the crease of your eye.





If you used a brush or a pencil, soften the look by gently smudging the line with your brush, a cotton swab or your finger.

Put your finger along the outside of the lid (the side close to your ear), and pull your lid out. This creates a straight, firm line to draw on. Then get close to a mirror, and have somewhere to place your elbow on to get steady. Then you just draw as close to the lash line as possible.

Start from the outer lashline,%26amp; go into the middle.I stop at the middle of the upper%26amp;lower lashes.My daughter goes all the way into the inner eye part.She also goes inside the lash line instead of the outer part of the lashline.Hope that helps.
oohh i can do it..


its kind of tricky and hard to explain.


you kinda squint your eye.. and put the pencil on the INSIDE of your eye on the top lid... however much you like.. then when you open your eyes it will be on the OUTSIDE. then (if you put some on the bottom too) you can rube your eyes together to increase the effect. makes my eyes look really pretty!
Get covergirl stick liner. You twist it so more of the liner appears and its wonderful!
get as close to the eye lashes as possible and make the line staying close...you can darken it or make it lighter as you want...also get waterproof ones just in case you get watery eyes during the day...
