How do you put on eyeliner?

Steps would ne nice if you could add them. I'm really bad at eyeliner and I know it sounds dumb that I can't do it good, but I need to learn!!How do you put on eyeliner?
As a makeup artist I only like appying eyeliner at the top. But it depends on how you like it. But with liquid I only apply at the top, if its pencil I will apply at the top and bottom, when I apply it at the bottom i start in the middle to the corner. So here are some tips to follow.

Shape and define your eyes with eyeliner after you've applied eye shadow and before applying mascara. Whether you choose a soft line or a dramatic stroke, eyeliner draws attention.

Tips:

Choose an eyeliner appropriate for your eye color. Brown, navy and charcoal accent light eyes well, while brown and plum shades flatter brown eyes. Make sure your liner complements the color of your shadow.

Consider the type of look you're after. Pencil eyeliner gives your eyes soft definition, while liquid versions offer precision and drama. You can also moisten dark eye shadow and apply it with a small, flat brush.

Prepare a cake liner or a dark eye shadow by applying a small amount of water to your brush. Or, if you're using a pencil eyeliner, ensure that you've sharpened the pencil adequately.

Move the wet brush gently through your cake liner or dark shadow. Hold the brush or pencil as you would hold a pen.

Tilt your head back slightly and bring your eyes to a half-open state. This creates a good angle for application, while allowing you to see what you're doing.

Draw a line across the upper lid just above the lashes, from the inside corner to the outside corner of the eye. If you're using liquid liner, allow it to dry before opening your eyes all the way, or the color may transfer into the crease of your eye.

If you used a brush or a pencil, soften the look by gently smudging the line with your brush, a cotton swab or your finger.

Hope that works. How do you put on eyeliner?
Eyeliner is a great and simple way to bring some attention to your eyes and freshen them up.

Pencils are the easiest options for a beginner (liquid is a good way to be dramatic, but requires a steady hand). Make sure it is sharpened (a regular, clean sharpener will do).

1. If you have deeper-set eyes and wish to bring them out, only start at about halfway (above the centre of your eye) and extend outwards. Lining your full eye tends to close and make your eyes even smaller. If you have big eyes, go for full.

2. Tilt your head back a bit, to give you a good view.

3. Use [tiny], soft strokes from your lashline, upwards. The soft lines should gradually get longer as you work your way to the outside corner of your eye.

4.. Smudge softly with your finger.

5. Make sure you store your eyeliner in a clean place so as to avoid contamination and make your liner last longer.

-Also, make sure you remove your eye maek up before bed, each and every night. (Rubbing it off with a bit of Vaseline is the best and cheapest method, then rinse with warm water)

Have fun and hope it helps!
put it on ure eye but don't be a dork and stick it in your eye
i had the same problem! pull down on your lower part of your eye where there is a tiny, long, flat piece of skin. put on the eyliner on that flat part and it will look really good!

Tip: don't put it too near your eye otherwise you can't see it as much and it might hurt.

7Step SevenIf you used a brush or a pencil, soften the look by gently smudging the line with your brush, a cotton swab or your finger.

8Step EightLine the lower lids. Moving from the outside edge inward, draw a line on the outer two-thirds of the lid or more, depending on the look you're going for. Your line should be slightly thicker at the outside corner, becoming thinner as it moves in toward your nose. Using your brush or pencil, lightly stroke the area. If using a liquid liner, apply it in one smooth stroke. Apply less color so your eyes don't appear raccoonlike
