How do you apply eyeliner to your top eyelid? ?

I can put it on underneath my eye, but I can't figure out how I can put it on abve my eyelid without poking myself in the eye! How do you apply eyeliner to your top eyelid? ?
Close your eyes and put the tip of the liner above your eyelashes and real softly apply. If you stay right above your eyelash then your eye liner will be straight and neat. I always use black on the bottom and a gray on top. So that its not to dark. It does help your eyes stand out if done correctly. Good luckHow do you apply eyeliner to your top eyelid? ?
Ok before you start applying it on the top, make sure the eyeliner you have is creamy and smooth. It doesnt matter if it is a solid one or a liquid. With liquid you can try out later or it can get pretty messy. Ok so the good thing about applying it to the top just like on the bottom is that you can always fix what you messed up on. Start drawing the line from the side that is closer to your nose. You should try to make it fatter as you get to the other side of the eye because it will define your eye better and it will look like you got some pretty long eyelashes. If the line looks curvy annd messy, try to fix it with a q-tip. You can wet it with water, but make it damp rather than wet. Then go over the messy bumps. Try to whipe it in the same direction as you drew the line, so the remaining line would look straight. Just keep practicing and find what way is better for you. You can also try to use different color eyeliners that best brings out your eyes.....best of luck =)
Try closing which eye you want to put eyeliner on take your index finger and place it at the corner of your eye. Pull lightly until you have a squinty eye and your eye lids lay straight making it easy for you to sweep your liner across.
