How do you apply black eyeliner without it looking dumb?

when you put it on the bottom, don't put it all across the eye. put it more towards the back, not the part closest to your nose. put a little bit there, but not too much cuz that looks pretty stupid

for the top, close your eye(the one you're gonna put it on) and just put it on.if something doesnt look as good as you want it, smudge it. it'll look really great!!How do you apply black eyeliner without it looking dumb?
well for a start you will need a good sharpened one cause if u use a flat one that will not apply properly and use a good mirror preferably one next to a good light so u can put it on nice and neatHow do you apply black eyeliner without it looking dumb?
Start off with a pencil. You need a really steady hand for liquid. Try in a subtle colour like a light brown and as you get better at applying it you can begin to darken it and use liquid. If you use a pencil do top and bottom but if you use liquid try to only do the bottom.
Stretch your eye outward...dont kill it and draw a straight line across eye lids and lower lids and make it thin...=}
Depends on whether your using a pencil or liquid.

Pencil: make sure its sharpened good, then apply in light strokes and make sure your hand is steady, or this can result in a zig zag line. If the line is not dark enough trace over the existing line some more to your desired heavyness.

Liquid:Also needs light strokes, be sure to pause in between strokes to make sure you have the desired amount applied. Oh rememmber this defininetly desires a sturdy hand.

Hope this helps.
I wear black eyeliner a lot, and found that lining the top lid with a very thin line...then smudging it outward (with the foam end of my eyeliner...you can always use a smudging stick) and then lining only the outer half of my bottom lid. I find that not lining 100% of the way around my eyes makes them look bigger and definitely not dumb!
well.. if your putting it on too dark. try not putting on so much
if you're talking about liquid eyeliner, DON'T stretch your eyelid out. just keep your eyes a bit open so that the liner goes on with the natural curve of your eyelid. keep your arm steady. it takes a lot of practice to get it perfect. use short strokes so as to avoid mistakes.
apply black eyeliner to the inner rim of ur lower eyelid bit [if that makes sense] and on top of ur lashes at the top of your eye :]

first of all use a dash of lipbalm on ur eyes n lids so that if ur eye lids are dry n patchy the liner will not go smooth...now draw a thin line so as to give a fresh look. The thick line shows a sulken look...i wont prefer liner to b drawn on lower lids. use a gud quality maskara for a sweet look...afterall this summers only mascra without liner is in..but if a liner is must for u make it thin.......c yaa God Bless :)
